who the fuck is this
Dec. 16th, 2018 02:36 pma post for if you have no clue who i am or why i followed you!
other online handles: kelasparmak on tumblr; laweurog on twitter; kelasparmak on pillowfort as well, though i haven't been active on those much. i've gone by a few other things - you may also recognise schlafsuchtig and uberboned.
who i am: i've been going by gabe online since around 2006, though you may also know me as angharad or harry, especially if we also know each other irl. i'm 24, welsh, deeply confused by and (at least for now) opting out of gender and sexuality. i prefer they/them pronouns, but i'm not super fussed. to the surprise of no one who's ever interacted with me, i'm officially brainweird.
things to be aware of: i'm bad at interacting with people and at articulating my thoughts/feelings. this means i generally don't interact with people, on the grounds that a) they probably don't want to hear from me anyway, b) i spend approx. 1000 years trying to precisely and concisely convey what i mean, and then either don't manage to and give up, or do manage to, decide it doesn't add anything to the discussion, and don't bother posting it.
to be clear, this is no one's problem/responsibility except my own! i just think it warrants saying because people have let me know i come across as aloof or disinterested, which is not my intention at all.

things i like: primary fandom at the moment is critical role, but i am a hoarder of fandoms. probably the most straightforward way to present this information:
other things i am a big fan of: star trek (especially ds9), the vorkosigan saga, campaign podcast, discworld, leverage, arthuriana. medieval literature (particularly welsh) in general really: i studied it at uni and did my mphil on medieval welsh poetry. i'm not very intellectual and i'm not really a historian but i am a big nerd, and honestly, medieval literature (particularly welsh) is often just extremely funny. come talk to me about the knights of the round table and what a bunch of goobers they are.
things i enjoy relatively casually: les miserables, the good place, penumbra podcast, lord of the rings, brooklyn 99, the mcu, the wicked & the divine, temeraire, imperial radch, parks and rec, gravity falls, buffy the vampire slayer and angel: the series, the librarians, black sails, gintama, star wars, machineries of empire, dragon age, mass effect, the stars are legion, the adventure zone, sagas of sundry: dread, liverpool fc (not a fandom per se, but sometimes i get enthusiastic)
things i enjoy the version of which exists in my head: supernatural (i haven't seriously watched in years but i'm still deeply invested in the angels in particular, especially gabriel, who will always have a special place in my heart); naruto (objectively bad but a formative fandom; many characters deserved better); the wider marvel & dc universes (not objectively bad, but wildly inconsistent and complex, and i don't have the time, money or attention span to keep on top of them)
